Christmas is soon approaching –
shoppers seem to be slowing down,
presents are now being wrapped –
cards are being sent all around.
There seems to be so little time –
when there is so much to do,
so, I decided to take a break –
and send this Christmas wish to you.
You’ve been on my mind –
so many times every now and then,
so I thought it time to get in touch –
with this Christmas wish
for you my friend.
We could get together –
at the corner cafe across the street,
but it doesn’t really matter –
where two friends want to meet.
You are always close at hand –
when I want to call on you,
and you always love and care –
for it shows in everything that you do.
You always think first of me –
when you’re near or far away,
and my wish to you this Christmas –
is that friends we will always stay.
I wish you many blessings –
and hope our hearts will keep,
for that is where I’ll find you –
when two friends want to meet!
For when I look inside my heart –
and see the love that dwells in there,
I thank God for a friend like you –
who has graced it with such tender care.
You have given to me a path to trod –
and opened my eyes so I could see,
now I can trust and feel again –
knowing how much you mean to me.
When I thought my life was dark –
and hid behind a wall of fear,
you challenged me to seek the light –
I found much more, for you were there.
I found a purpose that set me free –
that it meant more to give than to receive;
so I choose to send this Christmas wish –
that’s how much you mean to me.
My friend, I give to you all I have –
no broken heart, for it is healed,
for seeing how God works through you –
has made my way in life so real.
This Christmas season is so filled with joy –
filled with smiles and hopes to be,
I pledge my love and loyalty to you –
that’s what your friendship means to me.
When your days grow dark or grey –
and you need a friend to intercede,
reach out your hand and I’ll pull you up,
from the depths of the deepest sea!
So during this special season -
