Well there I was down by the brook,
Basking in the weather questioning whether,
Life is worth the dues I pay,
And wondering why I stay.
Can't say I'm sure about why I'm here,
And why death is something I've never feared,
It seems the days just slip away,
When I start thinking this way.
Raindrops find their way to my fingers,
And the thoughts still linger,
Why do I feel so unreal,
And why does it eat at me still?
I thought I washed away it all,
When I rose from my fall,
But it never seems to end,
Because we can all trip again.
