Truck Jacked!!!
My oldest son was out last night, driving mrswlfgrl's truck, in the local area He stopped at a store and when he came out, 3 assholes jumped him. One slammed his head into the door and then all 3 started punching him and kicking him. They got the keys from him during the fight. As they drove off, he got up and tried to run them down. When he couldn't, he came home and called the cops. It took them 2 911 calls and 45 minutes to get here. Now we get to go to the police station to make sure the truck is registered as stolen. My son hs a fat lip, a real nice shiner and a stomach that's hurting. He's also looking to kill someone. The cops treated him like shit too. They cut him no slack during the interveiw. What? Did they think because he was a guy that he wouldn't be upset and pissed? He was getting confused and they didn't ask the greatest questios. It was like the cops were trying to get him to screw up. I guess all I can say is... WELCOME TO DETROIT.

Police said Charles McCowan parked his pickup in front of a mini-mart Wednesday, leaving his 80-pound Boxer named Max in the passenger seat. When he came out, the truck and Max were gone. Good Morning. It’s a Friday morning to be exact. How are you? I am good myself. I still do not understand the amount of Semi-Truck’s on the highway…gas is over 4.00 bucks a gallon diesel and yesterday morning I counted 59 trucks which either I passed or they passed me in the little over 5 miles of highway stretch I take on the way into work. now ive been trucking for close to 20 yrs and so many things have changed when we started driving the people we met were alot friendlier the roads less busy and more time off now we run 3 or 4 weeks strait to make a living the freight has gone down with the economy and the pay is not alot higher then when we started, ive done both owner operator and company driver and owning your own truck these days is a hard job with the laws ins rates and fuel cost at leaast company drivers let the company deal with that part of it we run hard and push the laws to the limit to make a living we get a bad name from news and a few bad apples in this industry but for the most part we are good ppl that will help stranded moterist when we can and help the needy the children out there we are caring ppl that chose a life style yes this is not a job its a life style to be gone from loved ones for such a long time and live in a box 24 7 while out here what else can you call it we run all weather condictions g

My BF Ken, through the course of training and being trained, has run into some rather bizarre, and sometimes interesting people. The first guy who trained him, Mr. D., is one of the most interesting people so far. Mr. D. drove for the carnivals for 10 years, living the life of a gypsy. Before that, he spent 3 months backpacking in Europe, and he also took a month off recently just to get in more practice flying an airplane so he can get his flight instructor's license. Suffice it to say, Mr. D has a lot going for him, and he's all of 29! I digress. Mr. D. called up Ken the other day to tell him he found a baby kitten last week. This goes out to all the Truckers who travel through out the US! I never really knew but had an idea of the rigerous rodes you all travel but never knew just how ruff it truely is on the open rode till a few days ago when i had to drive from North Carolina to California. All Truckers out there, you all have my upmost respects. I deffinately don't know how you all do it when it comes to the damn mountains you all have to go through on a daily basis.. But i can say i have learned alot from you guys when it comes to driving through the deepest and tallest mountains. How you may ask did i learn from you? As i was driving through the mountains in a rental truck, i couldn't figure out why my vehicle kept wanting to try to over heat on me goin up the inclines of the mountains until i kept watching how you guys would just creep up the mountain. Well I'm sitting here at the Love's Travel Center just off I-35 and I-410 southside of San Antonio. I stay here most of the time at night. Its been a long ride trying to become a truck driver. I started in 2008 at truck driving school at the Truck Driving Institute Of Indianapolis. When I got into a semi truck for the first time I didn't even know how to make it go lol. Why is it that some people will go out drop a ton of cash on a wardrobe, turn on some country tunes and think they are country? It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 am, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. Truest Friend
This is not new but its something I felt need of to write. Back in 1992, when my mother was still alive but after my father's death in '86. I was living with my mom to help take care of her in dallas texas. life was pretty normal for us when one days a beautiful lady drove up in a U-Haul. the way our apartments was set up my patio was nearest the parking lot and closest to my neighbors patio. That was the day I meet Donna Merrik. she was moving into the apartment next door to mine. she had 2 cute dogs and lots of stuff. I asked if she needed some help and she accepted with a smile. I let my mom know what was happening and closed the patio door so to keep my own dog indoors. I put her dogs onto my patio as her door would be open alot. then I helped her move in. we became fast friends at that point. over the next year we grew together. going out on 'dates' sometime double dating. sometimes we would spend all night in her apartment talking about horrible dates we had just had.

Last year around this time many aspects of my life changed. I learned a few things and tried to apply them to my future actions. Among the many things I learned I suck at foriegn languages for the second time. In high school I had taken German. I passed the class but only because the teacher had a crush on me. I don't wanna go into details on that because I am only making it up. I really have no idea how I managed to pass German because I sucked at it, never paid attention, rarely showed up for class. Well any way this time last year I was failing college Spanish. I had retaken the class after a horrible accident left me unable to attend classes the semester before. I lost a lot as a kid. I lost my freedom to be another sport playing, hide and seek kind of kid. I've dealt with more adversities and tragedies than I've needed to. My father .. who I truly miss was never around. I met him when I was 17 and posted in a psychiatric ward, I still don't know if he came around because he felt bad or if he just wanted to look death in its eyes. I was diagnosed with manic depression at the age of 7, when I was 16 I was diagnosed with mild schizophrenia. I had nothing to live for .. still wonder to this day why I continue to fight. I don't know why I have so much to write about tonight, I think the thoughts are returning and I need to release some of the useless anger and emotion. So .. For the next little while .. This goes out to the one person who I hate more then anyone in the world. I just wanted my friends to know why I have not been on much, as of late. My brother-in-law was in a major car accident on January 12th. They had to life flight him 500 miles away to Portland, Oregon's trauma unit. He was driving to work, swerved to miss a deer, rolled his car 3 times and flew out his car door. He has a Punctured lung, 2 Chest tubes, Fractured Vertebra & a Fractured Pelvis front & back. Just a few days ago, my sister had to make a hard decision, have his Colon removed, or him die. My sister and brother-in-law are only 33 years old. They are going through so much hell and I am so worried about them both. Life is way too short, enjoy everything and don't take anything for granted. Please keep my family in your prayers.

Online or in person, to me, a friend is a friend.
