This Morning
This morning I had some downtime... Got to thinking, again, about life in general I just turned 39, life definately isn't what I want it to be. Divorced,single, back in CT....... I have tried to figure out where i am meant to be in life...... All the moving I have done, ex being military etc has effected my kiddo Shes happy here, I am not.So needless to say I owe it to her to stay here and give her some stability. I miss Florida terribly, but I love my kiddo more. This area I am in, in CT, is family orientated, lots of kids, not so much single people. All the women I know are married or too young for friendship {we wouldnt have much in common} Men I have met so far are out for ass or games, age not being a factor, they seem to all be stuck on stupid. I have been taking a good look at myself and I am older, not pretty, but no one sees past that. What Do I Say?
My daughter asked me if her father was still alive today.I guess after him not being in our lives for over seven years,with absolutely no contact one would wonder if he was or not. How do you tell your child that their father doesn't love them or care? I don't know if he is alive or not,either way I will never know. His family is from Mexico and the last contact we had I knew that is where he was going. I have never lied to my children about their father,but I also never talk down about him.At some point I am guessing they would like to know the truth about him.I just don't know when I should tell them that.I know she remembers a little bit about him,but my boys don't.My 10yr old hates a man he can't remember and my 6yr old doesn't even know him. Magnetic Personality?
The other day I noticed something odd that has been with me for as long as I can remember: streetlights will go out as I walk past. It happened three times within a single one-mile walk, and again the day after. I can't recall ever seeing it happen when other people walk past streetlights, nor happening from a distance. It doesn't happen to every one I walk past, but the only times I've noticed them go out was when I get within about twenty feet from the base. If I can ever learn to control this paranormal ability of mine, the next goal is learning to make things explode with my mind.

My father has never really had a lot to hang his hat on when it comes to me. I didn't do much to necessarily make him proud. He was never fond of my chosen line of work...he always wanted me to find a real job. Yet, I always did things to try to gain my father's approval. It seemed to be so important and it was quite rare to get any kind of positive feedback from him. I've never really hugged my father and only told him once that I loved him since I became an adult. I've never heard him say it to me. He's not that kind of father, though. I suppose I have just learned to deal with that fact. Recently, he has been experiencing poor health. After years of heavy smoking, he now needs oxygen almost all the time. He is in the latter stages of emphysema and he can no longer live alone. After that we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. "How have you been?" I stand before her, my back to her couch. It is decadance really. Everything flowery and soft as down. I raise my arms and balance on my tip toes. A smile curls my lips. A cold front will approach the area and pass thru the area late tuesday afternoon/early tuesday evening. As this front approaches it will spark off showers and thunderstorms of which some of these storms will be severe. The air that is out ahead of this front is VERY HOT...the air that is behind this front is cooler air. The clashing of these two air masses will result in thunderstorms...Main threat will be hail and wind but the threat of tornados is also there! Last Surgery
Well i officially had my last surgery on my leg this past Wed. and so far so good. They took about four inches of bone from my left hip and placed it on my tibia and also they placed a new plate down the length of my shin. Hopefully this will be the last one. To be honest i am sick and tired of surgeries and pain medications. At least when i take them i can't feel anything. The hip is the worst of the pain. Be careful with these guys at www.woot.com. I purchased an pinnacle HDTV USB stick from them and it came missing key parts to make it work. I followed there instructions and contacted the manufacturer but after 5 emails to them they told me to contact woot. I contacted woot and they wanted me to send the item back at my expense for a refund of the purchase price only. They will make you pay for their mistakes. I will never shop here again. Lipstick in School (Priceless!) According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick, they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. The Midwest Mafia, my former fight team and I are well known in the Southwest Missouri region. There is no record of the number of fights my team has won, but at every event I've been to we always walk away with more wins than anyone else. My Job
I love my job, and work really hard at sittin on my ass at a hotel all night long. BUT a demanding job as a night auditor has its negative perks too, and I always feel like murdering that person that tells me : "oh, must be so boring to do nothing." Storm Burnout
The following was brought on by what happened last week in my area, with severe storms and tornadoes (four that I knew, and apparently a fifth struck the county immediately west of mine Wednesday night) striking within 40 miles of me. The Class Of 2008
Well, the end is here. My kids graduate tonight! It's been a long road and they have grown so much before my very eyes. Physically, emotionally and best of all, they have learned to question things and respond in a mature way. I had my doubts with some of them, but they turned into great students. I loved listening to their discussions in science. I really believe several will stick with it and they will become scientists or even physicians. (We can take our MCATs together....LOL!!) Their minds were like dry earth, soaking up the knowledge.(I still couldn't stop the giggling when we talked of the solar system and the planet Uranus. I remember snickering about that too!) Beware Of Best Buy Might Not Be The Best...buy
Today I received an email that apparently was a forward from various people who also received it. It was titled beware of BEST BUY it may not be your BEST BUY… The letter went on and had a snoops site attachment to verify it’s validity and sure enough the snoops page had a lick to Best Buys policy on the subject. The whole subject matter was a happy customer turned unhappy when he returned a navigational item (GPS) within the stores 14 day terms. The customer was not happy with the devices lack of defining street names. He decided to return it for another device perhaps more costly unit that showed street names. The clerk said his return was subject to a 15% restocking fee…To which to customer complained...yada yada…and then was amazed to find out after he returned it not only would he not get his full purchased price but he would have to wait for a check from Corporate Best Buy with in 7 to 10 days. Beware when shopping at best buy it may cost you more and cause you hate and disconten
