17 Loooong Years
Well as of this weekend I finally told my wife that I had had enough, and that I no longer loved her and that i felt we should get a divorce. That was not an easy thing after 17 years, 12 of which have been hell for me, i am finally going to be free. My kids are going to be upset but I agree with alot of my friends here now that it will be better for them to have me be happy than miserable. Marlboro State Hospital 1977 age 18 I was taken by ambulance to JSMC where I tried to escape admission by running across the parking lots with foam slippers and signing in with obscenity's. From there at night I was taken by ambulance to MPH. On the way with the lights going they asked me if I had any last requests, I remembered the mercury poisoning in the lakes north of here and told them all the useful things to do with mercury like thermometers and electronic thermo-switches. As I was bought into the carport they had me stripped and showered and took all m y belongings for state issued hospital wear. They interviewed me and gave me some pills. I don't remember why I was there but did not answer up to drug or drinking inquiries from the male nurse. I was placed in a room with around fifty people who were all waiting to see the doctor most of them in hospital gowns and a few of them showing all. Well, my dad passed away on Saturday and it has not been easy. But one thing I have learned is in order for one to heal sometimes we have to lead the path in forgiveness. Never know when our number is up. It is very hard to explain how u can forgive someone who has hurt so many , especially me yet, seeing him in such a state that only God can make it go away is an eye opener to say the least. I would have never expected to see my dad suffer and be in such pain that all I could do was be there for him in the end. Well, had the meeting with the boss's yesterday and it is official, I will be loosing my job as soon as my license suspension goes into effect. Being 2nd offense in 5 years, its mandatory 12 months before you can get an occupational license, and our company policy is that if you cannot maintain a valid drivers license or be insurable, you cannot be employed. Kinda sucks, been with the company 9 years, I am there 2nd highest billing employee, and have references from all kinds of customers, but, its out of my boss's control, whats in policy is in policy and nothing they can do. So, if anyone knows of any job openinings, preferably IT related and doesnt require a drivers license/driving involved, please let me know, I could sure use it because I dont have long. As some of you may know, iv'e been laid off work for a while. It was okay at first, but now it's getting pretty bad. I valued the extra time off work so I could spend quality time with my son. Well he left yesterday to go to his grandparents for two months. I agreed to let him go, because I was supposed to be going to work in Minnesota. It was'nt an hour after he left that I get a call from my employer telling me that the job has been postponed until August. On top of going broke (bout to lose my house, truck, atv's, kid, etc.) I cant see my son. Im very dissapointed with this world and life right now. Im really not doin so good. He was 2 years older than me but he was like my twin. Let me tell you a little about him. Joe was a very strong man even thought his body was not strong. He had a disease that most of the time wouldn't have allowed him to do as much as he did. Joe would not let his disease or his doctors limit him from what he wanted. Everyone loved him and he could put a smile on peoples faces that were having such bad days that they were ready to just cry. He was told that his disease would kill him early, since they only gave him a life expectancy of 20-25, but that did not stop him from loving the people in his life and being an inspiration. Ok, a few of you have asked me about what LORF means or what the hell am I saying. I thought this might help. And, if any of you have Lorf moments you wish to share, feel free! My story starts in 1991 when I was 19 years old. I met a wonderful man named Gary and finally in 1993 we decided to start a family. I got pregnant and 7 weeks later had a miscarriage. It was tough, but I thought, "Okay, this is just something that happens." The first miscarriage was such a scare that we waited another 3 years before trying again. Again, after 7 weeks, another miscarriage. The doctors said it's just something that happens. After my 5th loss, we decided it was time to see a specialist.
