Just wanted to let everyone know that I am still around, just havn't been able to get on much lately due to sick kids.....My son has had bronchitis, the hubby is sick......plus school and work on top of that.....I hope to be on more soon! Resistance: Fall Of Man
so... I blame halo 3 for getting me back into shooter games haha but! shortly after the halo ... I got sucked into Resistance: Fall of Man. The story is based in the 1940s and is basically kind of like a world war...but with aliens. CRAZY aliens that infect humans and turn them into some kinda freaky hybrid lol There's a co-op feature (yay ^_^) but overall it was pretty cool! Their grenade selections are awesome (air fuels rawk) there's even one called the hedgehog that pops up and shoots out these massive spiney needles everywhere. There are stages where driving both human and alien tanks are needed .... so if you're like me and can't operate vehicles in video games if you're life depended on it.. just a heads up haha >_< lol that's where co-op comes in handy...i always jump on the gunner seat =P It's a cool game I would recommend it (after halo of course!) but the AI in the game is pretty smart too...there were plenty of times where we had to strategize before going into t

All Day Shifts..all Weekend Long..ugh!
So....I just wanted to let you know that I will not be around much if at all this weekend. I was supposed to work this morning and tomorrow night and that was it for the weekend. Now, I am working all day today (except for the hour break which I am currently on to let the dog out and get some stuff done) and all day tomorrow and there is talk about having me work Sunday all day as well. Normally, I would be annoyed that people would just schedule me and tell me to work when I previously had off with out asking, but Christmas is coming up and the extra money is always nice. So...I am going to be busting my ass all weekend working up a storm and hopefully making a nice chunk of cash. So...if you need to get a hold of me...call me and leave a message. well i guess i should clarify why it is so great this guy is stayin in prison. some of my friends that dont know what is going on are reading my blogs which is great just need to let you all know what is going on. on feb 29 of 2004 my 20 month old son was killed by a guy that was watching him. in september of 2006 he was sentenced to 30 years in prison and immediately filed an appeal. so yes the notice the appeal got denied is great news. he killed my son and he needs to suffer for the rest of his life. ihope this lets ppl know more of what is going on.

Woman takes out ad to sell breast milk Thu Nov 1, 11:15 PM ET A woman who doesn't want her breast milk to go to waste has taken out a newspaper ad in hopes of selling it. Martha Heller, 22, of Tiffin, took out the ad in The Gazette, offering 100 ounces of her breast milk for $200 or the best offer. Heller said her freezer is overflowing with breast milk that she has pumped since August. Her 4-month-old daughter won't drink from a bottle and the supply is piling up. Heller now donates to the University of Iowa's Mother's Milk Bank, but the 100 ounces of milk she wants to sell was pumped before going through the screening process for the bank and cannot be donated. Man with beer takes hearse to go fishing Thu Nov 1, 11:15 PM ET A mourner who authorities say got drunk, took a hearse from outside a New Zealand funeral venue and outran pursuing funeral directors told police he was "going fishing" when they pulled him over. Dogs shoot man on hunting trip Mon Oct 29, 2:52 PM ET A pack of hunting dogs shot an Iowa man as he went to retrieve a fallen pheasant, authorities said. James Harris, 37, was shot in the leg while hunting with some friends on Saturday afternoon. The group shot a bird which landed on the other side of a fence, the Iowa Department of Natural Resource said in a press release. "Harris reportedly went to retrieve the bird, placed his gun on the ground and crossed the fence near the muzzle end," the press release said. "When he crossed the fence, hunting dogs stepped on the gun, which discharged and struck Harris in the left calf at a distance of roughly three feet." Mead
For those of you unaware, mead it fermented honey, much like wine if fermented grapes. I brew mead. I'm also going to try an experiment this weekend. I'm going to throw on a batch of vegetable mead, with carrots, squash and likely sweet potatoes. All are wonderful with both honey and each other, therefore there shouldn't be any problem with it tasting 'funny'. All I need to do is pick up both the carrots, a purply-red varietal grown here and the4 sweet potatoes. Should turn a lovely dark purple colour. Otherwise, I have on batches of maple-blueberry, lemon-lime, lemon-ginger, apple (made with a local varietal of apple called a viking), strawberry, pear, holly berry, grape, and cherry... If you're going to be putting on a batch of mead, get the ingredients while they are fresh (excluding the citruses) and more importantly in season. None of this imported from across the planet crap.

I've been wanting an iron wand for a very long while. Two days ago, while in the local witch shop, wouldn't you know there's not just one, but two, hand forged, and the smaller one of the two with a couple of rather nice amethysts in it (the larger one looks like a fireplace poker...). I just so happened to have a bit of money, so picked it up. Let's just say it's rather nice.

omg..i already have a huge headache..and i am getting sick...its 2:28 pm and i already wanna pop the top on soda..i mean i know its crazy but i am addicted to it..and i need to get off of it..so yah..and i havent been eating junk food....so i have been eating sushi rice, tempura, salad, and salmon...my body hurts and my head hurts...i have bben burning sage to keep negativity out..and i have been trying to do stuff that keeps my mind off of my addiction...so far 1 day...is down and counting..

Something New
Talk about trying something new... how about living w/ someone and then an ex of their's that they've known off and on for MANY years ends up staying with you for however long. Both have moved on, but still, when you think you're gonna be w/ someone forever and then you're now and you move on in one form or another, it's still a little awkward. Especially depending on how you met the person you're with in the first place. Certain things can't be discussed. is it just me, or are there more who see these intrusions upon people's profiles as being a rather insidious invasion of one's right to adorn their profile as they see fit? people enter other people's profiles unannounced and also uninvited and yet, on the basis of their own narrow and/or close mindedness pictures, photos and other other adornments are either labelled for censorship, or-if the person doesn't agree to moving or deleting them-said person is removed from this site. why is it that the ones who moderate fubar aren't going after the ones who are complaining to them about pics, etc, for having the audacity to go first into other people's profiles and then complaining about what it is that they discover there? there are actually people going around with the express purpose of shutting people's profiles down, or at the least, having imagery, etc, they find offensive removed. and that has to stop. on a related topic, personally, i have to wonder about some of those out

1st Day Out!
Today I finally made it out to the slopes. We are up to 4 ski areas open in Colorado, A-Basin, Loveland, Keystone and Copper Mtn. Keystone and Copper just opened and were really crowded so I headed up to A-Basin. They have two trails open from the midpoint in the mountain but were prepping the top of the mountain to open!. They should be good to go as of Sunday. But it was great to get out there. Nice Sun, no wind with temps in the 30's. Started getting crowded at 11 so it was time to move on. But a good start! Ok I sit here in my bed on this computer and wonder why people are the way they are. Just a little background information I have had a rough year. I lost 11 family members this year so far and i have lost 15 really close friends you know the friends that you grew up with and stayed in touch. Returning To Work
I find that sometimes that in my life I don’t feel fulfilled. I don’t have a hard life which is a blessing, but a lot of times I wish I could do more. I’ve come to grips with the fact that esteem that I held my family in wasn’t warranted. So I need to find another body to fulfill that empty piece of my life. I’m going back to work in the youth shelter. Going to volunteer, and possibly start that art program for the kids they've been pushing me to do. Tomorrow I’ll be at the Gala event in Huntington Beach CA helping the shelter raise money for the kids. The theme is Hawaiian tropics, so I get to wear fine slacks and Hawaiian shirt, hehe. My Son That Is Away
For all of you that know me, some know about my son being away and some do not. Father Has Cancer

Mother Has Cancer
For those of you that do not know already. My mother has cancer. She had a small lump in that side of her neck that turned out to be a tumor. Many tests were done and it was classed as benign. After many visits back and forth to the doctor, the surgery was scheduled. The cancer had however spread to the salivary gland, lower on the neck (second mass) and the lymph node. All must be removed and surgery was set for November 1st. Mom has had surgery and is recovering. I visit her today. I will now more soon.

Family Loses All In Mobile Home Fire -prayer Request
Family loses all in mobile home fire on 10/24/2007 A local family of eight lost everything in a fire that completely destroyed their mobile home at 761 Jim West Road in northern Morgan County on Tuesday, October 16. Frank and Janet Watson, their five children and Janet Watson’s sister lived in the home. The family also lost their pet dog, a ferret and a turtle in the blaze. No one was home at the time of the fire. A mail carrier called the house fire in to the Morgan County 911 center at 2:23 p.m., said Dave Michael, Office of Emergency Services Director in a press release. Area firefighters found the residence totally engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene, said Michael. The home was a total loss. I represent kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates! You cannot love everyone, it is ridiculous to think you can. Sometimes we sit and wonder why in the world things happen but they happen for a reason. Maybe it's to open our eyes to see what's going on right in front of us or what might happen in the future. Well if anyone notices my status "pouring milk".. here's the story. It was a cold lonely night just last week for Gamerchick. Tee Time
I have a 8 am Tee time with an associate this morning. He and I like to swing at (and sometimes hit) the ball at least once a month. We are terrible... but it is fun. Dan In Real Life
This was a great romantic and family situation comedy. Steve Carell did a wonderful job. He wasn't too over the top like some comedians get in movies. He stayed true to the character and the situation he was in. Juliette Binoche was delightful. There were actually quite a few parts where you could tell her laughter was genuine...especially in the shower scene. You'll know what I'm talking about when you go see it. Anyway, this is a definite must see. I highly recommend it.

Car Wreck
Debbie and i were in a car accident Tuesday afternoon. we got rear ended at a stop sign. i pulled every muscle from the base of my skull down and had a mild concussion, and Debbie and a concussion and an acute cervical sprain and messed up her shoulder but it has been so swollen that they couldn't tell what was wrong till the swelling went down. Another Day Finally Over.
So, I was suppose to start work at 8pm tonight, but the press (I work at a newspaper) didn't fire up until 9:15. An hour and 15 minutes of doing nothing but smoking, and bullshitting with co-workers. At work we have this gay couple, one's a pregnant troll-like-thing (who apparently only has time to shower once a week), the other is way over weight, and I've only seen him wear 3 shirts EVER. From time to time, they magically get sick the exact same day, and can't come in (which leaves us two people short). Their buddy just started working at the plant. I may have to kill someone, if all three of them miss the same day. This beer tastes pretty damn good right now.

British marine biologists have found what may be the oldest living animal — that is, until they killed it. Getting Home
So today I flew home to attend my grandmothers funeral. Well the day started off alright, my friend Natasha dropped me off at the airport, and I got through security and I was glad that I didn't have any problems at the airport. I would have been lost if I couldn't get through or if the ticket wasn't there. Flew out of phoenix and not more than 10 minutes into the flight I was sick :( not fun, oh not fun at all. Land in Dallas, start to feel better and then find out our plane is broken and so I get delayed 4 hours in Dallas. Nothing to do for 4 hours but be bored and study college work, not a fun time let me tell you. Finally after the plane gets fixed and 4 hours later, I get on the airplane, no sickness this time yay.
