The Blinding...
So.. It was just wonderful. I have never felt so good about someone in my life. It just seemed too good to be true. The days were going by.. We went out and had fun together.. Did all the things you do when falling for someone. I would be laying in bed alone.. (get your mind out of the gutter) and I would get a text message from her saying how happy she is to be with a guy like me and that she just feels so good. Maturing..
It's been quite awhile since I last took the time to sit and think long enough to spew out my thoughts and feelings to all of you that actually take the time to read this. A New Ritual
I have a new ritual. Early Saturday mornings I pull on my favourite jeans and my beat-up hiking boots and venture out to a favourite place of mine. Too Close For Comfort
How close is too close? Each one of us has a different answer to that question, depending on our personalities and life experiences. We all put up fences to protect ourselves from being hurt or taken advantage of. But whether that fence has a swinging gate or is topped with barbed wire depends on the individual’s ability to trust. Trust comes easy for some people, was learned at a young age from loving parents. They learned how to love and be loved. People are welcome to participate in their lives. They have the ability hold someone and feel totally comfortable in that embrace. Self-confidence and inner-strength exude from every pore. It may be a different story for another. Being an unwanted child, unloved or abused can greatly affect one’s ability to love and trust. The need for self-preservation causes high fences to be built and gates to be locked. Our First Deployment

No such luck. Our ten minute window was taken up by a phone call. The kids are awake and our morning started without any kind of promise our night would make up for the morning. I guess I should explain something about my wife. Because of painful and traumatic abuse in her life, I can't just “take” her. Kinda funny how we view things sometimes, I know for the most part we judge others by their actions and ourselves by our intentions. I try to keep an openmind in that respect and try to understand why someone does something, but I'm not always successful at it. I think for the most part all of us are pretty self-centered and do things with our own benefit in mind even though we try to help our fellows out it is done for the most part at our convenience. Relationships with the opposite sex are at best very challenging or at least to me it is and I have been at it for quite a while. I have found myself very puzzled many times and hurt more than a few. I got into a situation recently where I got more involved with someone than I had initially intended and she was also involved with someone else. When I first started seeing this word "Blog" I was like what the hell is a blog? So I read a couple real quickly and decided that for the most part that they are pretty much a bunch of useless drivel and ramblings of people thinking that anyone really cared what they think or whatever. It seems a day rarely goes by that some person pisses me off in some way. I came to my computer this morning and discovered that one of my cats may have knocked my speakers loose from the computer. Romans 8:32 In the fourth chapter of Philippians, Paul declares that God will “supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (v. 19). For that to happen, we must understand the difference between “needs” and “desires.” A need is something that is essential for us to develop into who God wants us to be or to accomplish the things He calls us to do. This shall sound very twisted...but most stories probably seem that way before they become hashed out. I need some input on an idea for a short story...possibly more, but we'll start small. INGREDIENTS: * 1/2 cup olive oil * 1/2 cup unsalted butter * 1 large onion chopped * 6 garlic cloves minced * rosemary & oregano * 28 oz. can tomatoes chopped * salt & pepper * 1 cup dry white wine * 1/2 c. parsley * cooked or raw shrimp, crab, lobster, scallops (whatever combination or just one - sometimes I buy the imitation crab) PREPARATION: In a skillet, heat butter and oil - sauté onion and garlic until golden. Add wine; cook until liquid has evaporated and vegetables are golden. Reduce heat; add tomatoes, spices, salt and pepper. Rock Lobster Tails With Citrus Butter
Rock lobster tails cooked and served with citrus butter INGREDIENTS: * 4 frozen rock lobster tails, about 6 to 8 ounces each, butterflied * 1/4 cup melted butter * 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice * 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel * 1/4 teaspoon salt * dash ground ginger * dash paprika * lemon wedges PREPARATION: Place thawed lobster tails on broiler pan, shell side down. Combine butter, lemon juice, orange peel, salt, ginger and paprika. Brush over lobster tail meat. Broil rock lobster tails 6 to 8 minutes from heat for about 15 minutes, or until done (or, bake as package directs).Watch to make sure they don't burn. Meat should be opaque and flake easily. Marinated Shrimp Salad
INGREDIENTS: * 2 pounds shrimp, shelled and deveined * 1 medium green pepper, cut into thin strips * 1 bottle ( 8 oz.) Italian style salad dressing * 2 TBL. lemon juice * 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce * 1/4 teaspoon crushed garlic * lettuce cups (optional) or mixed greens * tomato wedges PREPARATION: Bring 4 cups water to a boil. Add shrimp, bring back to boiling; boil, covered, 3 minutes. Drain shrimp; let cool. Toss cooled shrimp with green pepper. Combine Italian dressing, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Add to shrimp mixture; mix well. Refrigerate, covered, for 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled. To serve, drain shrimp; arrange in bowl. Serve in lettuce cups or on mixed greens with tomato wedges. My First Race!
Well, I was given some tickets to the Chevrolet 350 race last night and the race was at Texas Motor Speedway. I wasnt sure I'd like it and have only been to the races once as a young kid. I kinda had a fear of a bunch of toothless hillbillies drunk off their asses making fools of themselves. To my surprise, it was quite the opposite. INGREDIENTS: * 2 large firm mangoes, peeled & shredded * 3 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions * 1/3 cup lime juice * 2 tablespoons fish sauce, or use soy sauce if necessary * 1 teaspoon sugar * 1 small clove garlic, minced * 1 small hot chile, such as serrano, seeded, minced * 1 pound shrimp, (25 to 30 per pound) * 2 cups greens * lime slices, for garnish PREPARATION: Combine green onions, lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, garlic, and chile in a bowl. I've been made aware of that recently and I realize now that I've got to be more careful than ever and think about what some careleslly uttered ones may do to a person. Summer Seafood Pasta Salad
INGREDIENTS: * 4 cups cooked and drained spiral or shell pasta or (any you prefer) * 1 cup frozen peas (thawed) * 1/2 cup chopped green pepper * 2 cups fine shredded cheese (cheddar or mixed) * 1/2 cup finely chopped onion * 1/2 cup chopped sweet red pepper * 1/2 cup finely shredded carrot (may omit) * 2 cups imitation crabmeat shredded * 2 cups Ranch or Peppercorn Ranch Dressing (bottled) * 2 cups halved cherry tomatoes * 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese (optional) PREPARATION: Cook pasta until done but not overcooked. Cool under cold running water; drain well. In large bowl combine all ingredients except tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. Toss gently but blend thoroughly. Refrigerate 3-4 hours. If texture is dry add more dressing, top with tomatoes and parmesan cheese. Notes: This is a creamy pasta salad but I prefer this to the ones with oily dressings. You can also substitute small frozen shrimp, (be sure they are thawed and well

Shrimp salad recipe with onion and homemade French dressing. INGREDIENTS: * 2 cups cleaned shelled shrimp * 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet pickle * 1/2 cup French dressing, below * 1 small onion cut in rings * mixed salad greens PREPARATION: Mix together shrimp, sweet pickle, and French dressing. Serve over mixed greens and top with onion rings. Shrimp salad serves 3 to 4. French Dressing * 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or vinegar * 1/3 cup olive oil * 1/2 teaspoon salt * dash pepper * 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard * dash cayenne, optional Whisk together all ingredients in a cup small bowl. Makes 1/2 cup of French dressing for shrimp salad

Garlic Shrimp
This recipe for shrimp is made with lots of garlic, butter, olive oil, lemon juice, fresh parsley or basil, and seasoning. INGREDIENTS: * 1/3 cup butter * 1 1/2 to 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined * 4 to 6 medium cloves garlic, crushed and minced * 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley * 2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice * salt, to taste PREPARATION: In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat until butter stops foaming, about 30 to 45 seconds. Add the shrimp and garlic and sauté over medium heat, turning frequently until the shrimp just turn pink, about 4 to 5 minutesAdd the parsley, lemon juice, and salt; stir well. Remove the pan from the heat and serve immediately, with rice or a salad. Serves 4.

INGREDIENTS: * 3 tablespoons butter * 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined * 4 green onions, finely chopped (include tops) * 1 bell pepper, seeded and finely chopped * 1 small hot or mild chile pepper, seeded and finely chopped * 2 cups mashed potatoes * 2 eggs, beaten * salt and pepper, to taste * 1 cup fine dry bread crumbs * vegetable oil, for deep frying PREPARATION: Melt butter in skillet over medium heat; add the shrimp and cook until pink (2 to 3 minutes depending on size). Remove shrimp from skillet with a slotted spoon, cool slightly, then chop. Set aside.Add the green onions, bell pepper and chile pepper to the butter remaining in the skillet. Saute over medium heat until vegetables are just softened, about 3 minutes. Add mixture to the mashed potatoes and mix well. Stir in the chopped shrimp and beaten eggs. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir in some of the bread crumbs, if needed to make the dough stiff e

INGREDIENTS: * 2 tablespoons butter * 1/4 cup chopped onion * 1 large clove garlic, minced * 1 red or green bell pepper, diced * 1 rib celery, thinly sliced * 1 can stewed tomatoes, (14.5 oz) * 1/4 cup dry white wine * 2 drops Tabasco sauce, or to taste * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper * 1/2 teaspoon celery seed * 1 teaspoon dried leaf thyme * 1 1/2 tablespoons parsley * 1 pound shrimp, shelled & deveined PREPARATION: Melt butter in a large skillet and sauté onion, garlic, bell pepper, and celery until tender. Add tomatoes, wine, Tabasco, and seasonings. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes. Add shrimp and cook until shrimp are pink, about 8 to 10 minutes. Serve with pasta. Serves 2

I Miss Him
Why is life so unfair?? Why do children get sick with these awful diseases and die? Why my child?? I look back over the last two years of my life when it got turned upside down. It hurts. My son was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma in December of 2004. He went through a year of chemo treatments. He had a month of radiation treatments. In December of 2005 they found a new spot on his bladder. It took them three months to do a biopsy and find out what it was. He was then diagnosed in March 2006 with Ectomesenchymoma. A very very rare type of cancer. There are only about 25-40 reported cases in the world. He was misdiagnosed. The doctors told me that he had that type of cancer all along. I blame so much of what has happened to Nathan on the hospital. In Sep of 2005 he almost bleed to death all because the lab techs didnt tell the doctors that his blood work was suspicious and he needed to come in. He almost died. Craig's Surgery...
Here's how the lovely day went... Keeva didn't go to bed til around 4:30 am.. about an hour before I had to get up and go with Craig... Yea.. they attempted to wake me up but I couldn't get up. This Weekend
Whew, it feels good to finally relax. I had to go to class today, then I worked from 3:45 to 10:45. I won't be on much this weekend cause of work. I deleted all the people on here that never talk to me. Also the ones I only added cause theyhad nice booby pictures. Thats a terrible reason to be friends with some one. Homecoming 2006
Friday night football in Texas is not like any other state in the US and believe me, I have been to alot of football games all over. A Movie I'll Be Acting In.
