My First Horse Show
Well, I had my first horse show on Saturday Feb 9th. For starters, I was nervous as hell. Just like your first time driving, or your first day of high school, or hell even college...You're not really scared (well, some aren't), just nervous. It's a new experience, one you've never had before only heard about. Throughout the day I had 5 different people offer me a beer to calm my nerves, and Mel even offered me a Valium, lol. It was Georgia's first time at a show as well. It was a new place for her, a new experience and for the most part she did well. She wasn't used to be ridden for more than an hour or so a day, but she was a trooper, and except for a few kinks she did well. I rode her for about 2 hours all the while trying to clam my nerves. On top of being nervous, I do not do well in big crowds, especially when I'm the center of attention. Everyone came up to me throughout the day complimenting me or talking to me about my horse. Confessions Of A Single Mom (part I)
June 5th 1995, I awoke at 0136 in my barracks room. I bolted upright. "Im Pregnant!!" I shuddered. Well I am up for promotion to be a Senior consultant but I just don't know that many people these days especially since I moved up here. I also want to find the right person for my team I don't want just anyone. I love what I do and love sharing it with others but it is hard sometimes because I don't want people to be pushe away. My first blog on FUBAR folks I am writing this on behalf of a friend of mine in Colorado.. I feel so bad for him.. He lost everything when his house burnt down just recently.. His neighbors house caught on fire and took his with it.. This man works hard for the county and is a sweet soul. Now what really piss's me off is that he lost his Harley in the fire too, and the fucking insurance company says its not worth what he is claiming... I didnt think that Harleys could depreciate but, I guess they can. His bike was a nice one and he took real good care of it like most owners of their bikes. Good Popo
I live on the corner of a one way street and, leaving my driveway, I often cut straight to the main road instead of driving all the way around the block. This morning was no exception. What made it slightly different was that a cop saw me do it. At first I thought I was going to get away with it but then, a couple streets later, there flashed the blue and red. He asked me, "did you just come from so-and-so street?" and I sheepishly replied "yeah, but I live right on the corner". Apparently that didn't make it any less illegal. When he was done with his 'bad girl, you shouldn't break the law' blah blah speech I felt like a little girl who just got a scolding from her father. When he walked away the tears were welling up in my eyes and I had a lump in my throat. He just gave me a warning, thank goodness, and rest assured I will not be taking the short cut anytime soon.

Do you know what that picture is above my blubbering nonsense? Sure, its a picture you need to click on and vote, but to me, its even more than that. Before that pic, I was a Fubar Ninja. Sure, I met some people, but would mostly vote on Mumms, rate some pics, and talk to the same few people that I met. Mind you, that was not a horrible existance. But because of PebblesinAZ, that pic has broadened my horizons. Her contest forced me to go out, and start asking for people to look at my picture, and rate it. I hate the fact that I'm begging, but I like the fact that each night, I send out between 100 and 200 links or messages, and the results are pretty much meaningless. Well guys sorry i have not been on.....but the other night i was taken ill with the FLU!!! yes i said it, the FLU. Wow it was bad. I came home after working a 16 hour shift and felt like crap, i thougt it was from lack of sleep but boy was i wrong. So needless to say i went to bed right away and 7 hours later was awaken by fire personel and ems providers shuttling me down the stairs and rushing me to to the hospital. See what i thought was lack of sleep was my temp getting ready to reach a all time high fever of over 104. So after a nights stay in the hospital and a shit load of useless test the finally came to me and told me i had influenza A. So now that i have totaly bored you with my stupid story....lol.

Prayers Really Needed At This Time.
Yesterday - 2/18/2008, my Mom went to be with the angels of heaven (in her sleep) she was 75 years old. She had some health issues (diabetes, copd, chf) and will be sorely missed by family and many friends she has touch the lives of during the time God loaned her to us. It has been my honor to have had her as part of my life for 53 years. As some of you know, I have just started chemotherapy for chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (stage 4) and then this blow was dealt to me but she knew of this and just wanted me to take care (she knew last week) and said she would take a special message to God about it, little did I realize she would personally carry this. All I am asking is to keep me, my sister Linda and two brothers Steve and Ralph and their loved ones in prayer as we deal with the loss of this precious woman. Beginning
This is as a follow up to the blog I posted entitled "Ending". Please read that first so that you have a better understanding of this one. Last August I met K. He told me he has cancer and my heart broke right then and there. Broke right open and hasn't ever been the same since. I cried for days about the wrong in that situation. Thought about all that I had thought was wrong in my life. Recognized that all of those things were really insignfigant. Small issues by comparrison to the thought of dying without experiencing half of what I already had. I used this interaction with K as a reminder of how precious life and every moment and every interaction with every person that I meet is special and an opportunity to learn and be shaped into a more enlightened person. Scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As most of you know, I saw a super hottie at a cell phone stand at the mall,but truth is,that's not the only thing that happened there. Ok,lets start from the beginning,president's day and my 15 and 11 yr old cute little neighbors and I decide to take a walk at the mall. Numb to the world as love is torn out of me. My heart like a crystal shard in to a thousand peaces. I tried to make sens out of the nothingness once called love. Always The Shorty
I go out tonight to the store. I look around me. EVERYONE and their brother is taller than me. I never thought I was that short but seems like I am shorter than I thought or everyone else is growing or I'm shrinking. I even had to ask for help to get some Cocca Puffs off the top shelf in the store. Over the past week I've noticed it more and more. I don't know why it bothers me recently but it has. I don't wanna be the shorty. Most of my friends are tall too. Even the women. Shit.. my son's even 5 ft 10. 6 inches taller than me. As a Company, Southwest Airlines is going to support "Red Fridays." Last week I was in Atlanta , Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen. Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camos. As they began heading to their gate, everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering. When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red-blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families. Breckenridge Expansion

They have been good enviromental citizens in their building of a gondola from town as an attempt to reduce the traffic up the mountain every day, especially the diesel busses. The idea of spreading out the ski traffic to a 5th peak would make the skiing there much better on busy weekends like this past one, were 45 minute lift lines in certain areas were common. And the article fails to mention that as smaller ski areas go out of business (Berthoud Pass comes to mind), more area is returned to the back country. Hopefully this won't bring out the eco-terrorists as the Vail expansion did, but you never know.

One Of Those Days
Have you ever had one of those days where you just wanted to pinch someone's head off???? Today was that kind of a day. At least now it is the end of the day and I can close my eyes and forget.
