My world is quiet today. Outside is covered with a thick blanket of snow. The sky is gray but the sun is still bright. Nothing is moving with the exception of the occasional passing car. Inside it's not quite warm enough to be comfortable sitting still. I'm reading "The Road". Every page makes me feel empty, wanting to cry. I'll still see the movie. I only bought the book so I would have something to keep me occupied while I waited the two hours to get the oil in my van changed yesterday. It won the Pulitzer Prize, this book did. That has to mean something. There are just enough big thoughts occupying my mind to keep the chaos at bay. The silence is almost frightening. But for once, the quiet is welcome.

I had a weird day at work. My computer had strange quirks. It was a slow day also, and I hate those. This month is kind of trudging by. We got snow tonight here in Missouri. It wasn't alot and it isn't very cold out, so hopefully it will not freeze. I hate the ice - I also hate the dumbasses that can't drive in typical winter weather. I went and saw "King Lear" yesterday with my sister and bro in-law. A very complex play, but very good. If theater is done right, it can be very compelling. I like the blog because I get to rant my little head off. I received this note today in my inbox regarding the tattoo contest being a "joke". I will not put the author out there...for obvious reasons but I will do this....... It seems that someone has their ass in a knot because I allow bulletins to be posted regarding entries. Quite Possibly The Best Christmas Ever
Soooo....for Christmas I got a lot of the normal stuff, some clothes, DVD's, pajamas, a cd, this label maker I wanted, socks, a Christmas Story Ralphie bobblehead doll (yeah I collect bobbleheads lol) candy, etc....and then it happened.... I got the Apple Macbook I wanted, with an HP Photosmart Printer, AND the Nintendo Wii. Quitting Smoking
I finally realized that I need to quit smoking if I am going to watch my kids graduate, get married and have children. So 5 days ago I quit. It's the hardest thing I have ever done. Actually went thru some withdraws I believe, shakes, sweat and etc. The urge to smoke is relentless but each passing day it gets easier to deal with. How many of you smoker's wake up to a cigarette before you do anything else. Look at your nightstand bet there is an ashtray, box of death, radio and whatever else. Not to mention the 10.00/day I was paying to support my habit. SO with your support and prayers, I hope to rid myself of this affliction and start to improve my quality of life and get a chance to watch my kids grow up...

The other day i decided i was gonna quit smoking....i still had 2 packs of cigs to finish so i told my friend Kevin soon as i was done with them that i was going to quit. Quitting Smoking Is A Pain In My Ass
Granted, I know it's good for me and good for the environment and blah blah blah, but it's still, nonetheless, a pain in my ass. I switched to lights, which, I know, really doesn't do anything. And then i switched to light 72s. The other day I was down to four a day, but then last night I went out to a party at some friends of Des's and smoked a jillion cuz i was drinking. But at least the boundries I've set for myself are helping. No smoking in the car. No smoking before noon or after midnight. And since I've started school, I'm in class a lot, I can't smoke those hours, so that works out... I guess. My goal is to be completely rid of them by mid Feb., which is a month from now, so i think that's reasonable. We'll see. Four...Three...Two...One. This packing business also sucks. I move in two weeks and have almost nothing done. Eh, results typical for me.

Quitting Or Moving Forward?
My feet and legs hurt so much right now......worked a lot the past two days. I also put in my two weeks notice today. It's not exactly something I wanted to do so soon, but after the past two days it seemed like something that needed to be done. I've made some really good friends working there, and I still consider them friends but I honestly can't take it anymore. There is way too much drama and backstabbing than needed for a pizzeria. I recently quit smoking, and i can tell you this from the headaches to the nawing thoughts of going and finding smokes, I can tell you this much I wish I didn't want to quit, but i am quitting so i don't want to go back, i live with another smoker, and that doesn't help at the end of the day when he gets here, and smokes like a freight train, I hope i don't gain weight, but right now just to get the headaches to go away I would not care if i gained a hundred pounds. Well today is the day. I called 1-800-QUIT-NOW a week ago Thursday. I had seen their commercial that said they offered all kinds of free help and stuff to assist people in quitting smoking. Anyway after about a few minutes with an operator, and another half an hour with a "quit-coach", I was all signed up. They ask you a bunch of questions; whether you use cigarettes or chew, how often you use, how long you've been using, and when you want your "quit-date" to be. I thought that was funny, like they were gonna send someone over to keep me occupied so I wouldn't smoke, and I kept thinking "What about after my quit-date and I do it?" and "I'm really going to want a smoke then." One of the things that's really cool is that they offer free patches, gum, or lozenges to help with the cravings. I gave up smoking about 5 or 6 months ago! I kinda lost count and can't remember the date I quit! Sometimes I find it so hard and the cravings seem like they are never gonna stop! I try not to drink my Jim Beam's and coke cause I associate them with smoking! So yeah... I Quit my job tonight. I finally snapped. Sick of people walking al over me, and picking fun at me, and treating me like crap. I have worked there for 3 yrs over the past 4 yrs. I asked for two weeks off and even got the days covered and I still had to work two of the days, because it wasn't an "Official Vaction". Quit Smoking Update :-)
Haven't had a cigarette since 11:20am yesterday. It's 3:04am 8/30/07. I've definitely had cravings. Purely psychological since I'm using Snus... No spitting required. This is the "Frost" version. I never really had an addictive personality. I have always been one who can try something once or twice, or even do it for a while socially and still have no problem leaving it behind me. The one thing I cannot understand is cigarettes. I smoked my first one when I was 13. Not too fond of the damn things. I started smoking fairly steady when I was just shy of 17. I started my prescription this morning, a tiny white pill that really didnt look like it could do much. took it and felt high as a kite for about ten minutes, then rembered it said "take with food" so i stuffed down a banana and laid down til the dizziness wore off. after that, i didn't notice any side effects whatsoever. they say that you can smoke the first few days of treatment and i'd fully planned on doing that. so i'd light up when i felt the urge. at the end of the day though, i counted up my cigarettes and realized i only smoked half of what my normal amount is. So, in order to get out of working out in the morning once a week, I decided to go to this "Tobacco sessation program" they have for soldiers and their dependants here on Fort Gordon. 12.13. 08 - Quite A Year!
Holli is out of my life.. Kari is in my life, but we're not together no more. We've resolved our relationship back in June (never went to Iowa; I went to New Hampshire instead). We're done going back and forth with each other and we remain the good friends. I miss Holli, but things happen for a reason. I still love her to this day. Quite The Little Talker
okay, first, let me say that I am not all too talkative in person. I don't feel the need to fill empty spaces with mindless gibberish and do think that comfortable silences can be some of the best moments of life. The kiddo's dad is not much of a talker either. Thankfully. Evan somehow takes after neither of us. He talks nonstop from waking until sleep. There are even nights I hear him muttering while dreams play through that creative little brain of his. Quit Being Pathetic
Nobody likes to hear you whine. You got an issue? Deal with it. I hop on this site once a month and everyone is just crying about their pathetic fucking existence. You think you have issues. Try living in Iraq with nutfuck military assholes on both sides raping and killing your family and blowing up your belongings. "Hey, where did my car go? Oh yeah, some asshole blew it up. Quite A Year
While I've been blogging today I realized it has been a horendously crappy year. In just this one month it's been my worst year ever. I had a seizure as a result of an allergy to a new medicine. Grand Mal seizure in the middle of Wal-Mart in front of my kids. My four year old now goes around singing "I hope my mommy doesn't die" and asking me if I got all my hurt out. My husband got laid off from a job that was funding a lifestyle we can't afford without it. My best friend passed away from a freak and incredibly sad accident. My town suffered a total power loss after a storm that has caused hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage. A tree fell through our fence during the ice. Then another limb fell through our fence and roof while the ice was melting. Cant wait to see what happens next!!

Quit Being Such A Dirty Slob.
Seriously, you don't have to have money to be clean, you just have to stop being such a lazy pig. I went over to an old buddies house a while back. He had shit laying everywhere and his apartment smelled like mold and ass and dog and smoke and bad food. WTF?! It's easy and cheap to open the windows and air out your pad. Spraying that air freshner just makes it smell like someone shit a pine tree. Clothes and crap laying everywhere. No reason for it. You say your house is a wreck because you have 3 kids? I find it quite interesting that men and women both have psychological responses to hurt and pain. I find that (some) men express hurt (and rejection) through anger, according to my male friend. It's quite funny how men are toward rejection from people completely different the women I should say. Both humans with different mental capacities with some things, people, and places.
