Christmas Is Coming :)
So the biggest holiday of the year is just around the corner...my kids are excited, even though they don't believe in Santa anymore...I know they will be disappointed if the big guy doesn't give them at least one present.... This is my favourite holiday...I love the decorating, baking, shopping...I don't even mind the crowds of annoying people at the mall....I'm not sure why, but this year feels different to me....it's the first of December and my cupoboards are bare...lol....no baking done and nobody telling me that they're already gaining weight :) I put up the lights and some of the decorations...and hopefully will get the tree up this weekend :) I know, it seems early, but I am nuts---and usually have the tree up and fully decorated by mid-November (a tradition started when my daughter was little and home from a bout in the hospital). WOW.. I can not believe that talking about sex and other things are more important than reading about someone that goes out everyday and protects You the public. I posted a bulletin last night about Correctional Officers considering I am one and noone took the time to read it. If anyone had bothered to read it, then you would have got a glimpse of what prison life is all about. It's not like being a street cop, they have thier own set of dangers... but there is a diffrence. I don't carry a weapon.. no gun, no taser and no vest. I wear my uniform and hope and pray a inmate doesn't want to kill me that day. I can control the weapons used against me.. street cops don't have that option. None the less its still a dangeous beat I walk 5 days a week. So, now that I am done with my bitching, I hope someone takes the time to find my bulletin and reads it.

Good Morning Fans!!
Well, Been off for like 2 weeks – ‘cept I did work Turkey Day… Was a great time off. Got to ride the Harley several days while off… With all the snow coming in today I will not be riding for at least the next 2 days… I work a pretty cool schedule -- 6 days straight and then 2 days off till the weekend arrives… Then 2 3-day weekends… So ignoring vacation days I just had Wed-Thur off… So now I work thru next Wed and I will have Thur – Fri off butt I took Saturday off to go somewhere… Anyway – just a personal update for my fans, friend and haters… Yep – haters.. I have been composing this in my head for a bit now, yet still cannot seem to find a way to say what I need to say without sounding harsh. Which I'm not. Last Minute Submissions

My Affluenza project for this term was, to stop buying bottled water form the store and just install a filter on my sink tap at home. I would then fill the empty water bottles from that. I chose this because I had been reading up on the “purifying” techniques used by bottling companies. I did not anticipate what the monetary amount of my savings. I had not thought that I, and my family, spent such a large amount of money buying water each month. My conclusions are as follows; Point one; I noticed a change in my spending habits almost immediately. This may come as a shock to some, but I was spending on average more than $90/month on bottled water. This far exceeded my original figure. I went back over an entire year’s receipt that included bottled water and calculated an average for each month. I was very surprised. I thought that trying to take the time each week to fill bottles would have been too much of a hassle for me. After all this has been a very bust trimester

So, talked to John and he filled me in on whats going on over there in Afghanistan, hes been outside the wire (outside Kaf -the main camp) since the second week in October, and as far as he knows he is going to be out there till at least December 12th before his coy is going to get some relief. His days are spent digging and sandbagging..fun i know..He said the place is starting to look like a sandbag fortress!! Must be quite a sight - cant wait to see the pictures he took. Since he has been out there theres no computers, no phones, showers or even REAL FOOD..these poor guys sleepin on the ground, eating rations for 2 months, not being able to shower properly or keep in touch with loved ones like everyone else. They havent been getting their mail or their care pkg's because its too hard for the drivers to get everything out to them safely..remember they are front line infantry troops.. Todays Results......
I found out this morning that I dropped from 24 last week to 18 this week. Since my numbers are still dropping...the drs think that I am gonna be alright and they want me to go back on my birth control patches for a few months so that I have a healthy normal cycle a couple times so that I get back to normal then I can get back off and start again. So in my very lame career planning class, we have been working on our resumes and the career advisors are going to hang on to them so that when it comes time for my externship and/or job searcing, they can help send them to potential employers. One Year..
Tomorrow is the one year anniversary since my heart surgery. In the last year I don't think I've done much to really improve my health like I wanted, which is very disappointing. Although I did move to Kingston, so I'm very happy about that. I need to stop being such a lazy ass and do some cardio and other exercises. I was bike riding on a regular basis during the summer, but I need to do something else with winter now here. Otherwise I'm going to put on some weight and I really don't want that to happen. Meh.. I hope tomorrow goes well. I know on Nov 1st I wasn't having a good day since that was the anniversary of my first, not as severe, surgery and that was when I went into cardiac arrest. That still freaks me out, but at least I'm still here.

My new CAM just blew my nonrenewal record at the store. We had hit the closing number every cycle (twice a month) since January 1st this year (with me as CAM) and he ruins it. Ugh! There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes the Tickle Me Elmo toys. The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms. Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8:00 AM. The next day at 8:45 AM there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. Load Time
Okay - I *really* am having fun with this site - it's quite addictive. I don't have the best and the fastest computer, but I do run on a cable modem and most websites load very quickly. This site.. however. OMG. If I do anything (User Comments, Ratings, Views, etc.) - It takes FOREVER to reload. I think I have a bit of ADD because I can't stay focused and I start to get annoyed with how long it takes. Yes, sad... I know.

Wednesday Standup At Lucy's
Two weeks ago, I did my standup gig at Lucy's in New Orleans and bombed. Last night, 11/29/2006, I went back and did good. I didn't bomb or kill them but I did get some laughs. It was a good feeing that I came back and did better. That is one thing that I hope stays with me that persistence pays off. I did the same set I did in Baton Rouge last week which had the same effect. No comedian hits it big over night. Many still work their day jobs as they are gaining popularity and making money at it. I'm by no means ready to start making money at standup. Six months or a year from now it may be a different story, but until I am ready for that I need to concentrate to open mic nights and developing my act. One thing I'm learning is the voice I use has an effect as does segues and delivery. My stage voice is also coupled with the fact that I do character voices and impressions as well. Sorry for not being on ct lately, I ended up doing something really really dumb. I went to a "key Gen site", Google warned me, I Ignored it, clicked on the download link, Ignored the fact that it was an exe file (normally they come compressed with an nfo file), Ignored my virus scan and clicked the exe file. so the past few days i've been getting frustrated and leaving my computer logged in to C.T to test for pop-ups and troubleshooting. coupled with that and coming home from work late (today being the first semi early day)

New Job Stuff
Well I just called into my new job, as a customer service and video clerk person at Safeway. I only work 20 hours next week! I'm kind of scared... These are only training shifts. I told my mentor/supervisor that I'm willing and able to work (after I said that I thought maybe that wasn't the best choice of words to use)... So then I just said I'm excited to be working there and ready and excited to learn everything I need to know. He said I had a good attitude and that he liked that. I told him I'd be willing to come in over the weekends and stuff or to pick up ppls shifts who had sick kids, etc. Anyway... I just hope that I am going to get more than 30 hours a week on average! Geez... So I'm thinking of applying over at Bed Bath and Beyond... and maybe Petsmart, and then maybe Applebees (which is a really NICE RESTAURANT haha is that what he says in Talledega nights?)...
